Terms of Service
1. Who we are

2. What the Service does
The Service archives the transcripts of YouTube videos you choose, generates written breakdowns and action plans from them with artificial intelligence, lets you follow YouTube channels and choose which videos to import, and gives you search, folders, an API and an MCP server to query your library from third-party assistants. The Service is a personal research and note-taking tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by YouTube or Google.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old, or have the legal capacity to enter into a contract, to create an account.
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials and your API keys confidential and for everything done through your account.
- You must provide a valid email address. Accounts are personal and may not be shared or resold.
4. Plans, credits and billing
- The Service is sold as a subscription (Starter or Pro, billed monthly or yearly). Prices are shown on tubeoperator.io and on the subscription page of the app, in US dollars, taxes excluded unless stated otherwise.
- Usage is measured in credits: one processed video costs one credit, and videos longer than one hour cost double. Credits are refilled at each billing period; unused credits roll over for one month up to the monthly allowance of your plan. One-time credit top-ups do not expire and are not refundable.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the subscription page; access continues until the end of the paid period, and no partial refund is made for the remaining time.
- We may change our prices. Any change applies to your next renewal, with at least 30 days' notice by email.
5. Free trial
Your first subscription starts with a free trial of 7 days. A payment method is required to start it. During the trial you receive the full monthly credits of your plan. Nothing is charged before the end of the trial: if you cancel before day 8, you pay nothing. Otherwise the subscription starts and the first period is charged. One free trial per account.
6. Right of withdrawal (consumers in the European Union)
If you are a consumer, you have a right of withdrawal of 14 days from the day you subscribe. By starting the free trial and using the Service, you expressly request that the provision of the digital service begins immediately. You acknowledge that once the paid period has started and credits have been used, you lose your right of withdrawal in accordance with Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code. 7. Acceptable use
- Use the Service for your own research, learning and work. Do not resell, redistribute or publish the transcripts and breakdowns as a dataset or as a substitute for the original videos.
- Respect the YouTube Terms of Service and the rights of creators. Every breakdown links back to the original video.
- Do not attempt to circumvent credits, rate limits or security measures, and do not use the Service to send spam or to harm third parties.
- API and MCP access is provided for your own tools and assistants. We may apply fair-use limits to protect the Service.
8. Content and intellectual property
Videos, transcripts and channel data remain the property of their creators and of YouTube. The breakdowns and action plans generated for you are yours to use. The Service, its software, its design and its brand belong to us. You may not copy, modify or reverse engineer the Service.
9. Artificial intelligence and "bring your own key"
Breakdowns and action plans are generated automatically by language models. They may contain errors, omissions or inaccuracies: check the original video before acting on important information. If you plug in your own AI provider key, you are responsible for that provider's terms and costs, and processing with your key happens under your provider account.
10. Availability
We do our best to keep the Service available and to fix problems quickly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend the Service for maintenance or for reasons outside our control (including changes made by YouTube or by our AI providers).
11. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from the app ("Delete account"): your library, breakdowns, channels, keys and remaining credits are permanently erased, and any subscription is cancelled. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms, after notice where reasonably possible.
12. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us during the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect damages, loss of data caused by third parties, or decisions you take based on generated content. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including the legal guarantees owed to consumers.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will inform you by email or in the app at least 15 days before material changes take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the new Terms.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, you may also rely on the mandatory rules of your country of residence, and you can use the free consumer mediation service: [CONSUMER MEDIATOR NAME AND WEBSITE], or the European Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Failing an amicable solution, the competent courts are those of [CITY], France.
